If you can't sign in, the sign-in box doesn't load (The sign-in service could not be loaded), or you see a connection or security error such as SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG, the cause is usually something on your device or network—not the site. Something on your device or network is blocking or inspecting the connection.

Work through these three checks in order.

Step 1: Turn off your browser extensions, then reload. Open the site with your extensions disabled:

• Firefox: Menu → Help → Troubleshoot Mode
• Chrome or Edge: Open a private window (Incognito / InPrivate)
• Safari: Open a Private window, or turn extensions off in Settings → Extensions
• Other browsers: Disable your extensions, or use the browser's private mode.

If sign-in works now, one of your extensions is causing the problem. Turn them back on one at a time to find which one. Ad blockers and privacy extensions are the most common cause.

Step 2: Try a different network. Open the site on your phone using mobile data with Wi-Fi turned off. If it works now, the problem is on your home network or router. Allow nihongo-jikan.com and *.nihongo-jikan.com in your network filter or parental-control settings.

Step 3: Check your security software. Antivirus and security software often includes features such as HTTPS Scanning, SSL Inspection, or Web Protection. Add nihongo-jikan.com and *.nihongo-jikan.com as exceptions. Simply adding them to a basic allow list is often not enough.

次の3つを順に試すと、原因を見分けられます。

ステップ1: ブラウザの拡張機能をオフにして開き直す 拡張機能を無効にした状態でサイトを開きます。

• Chrome・Edge: シークレット / InPrivate ウィンドウで開く

• その他のブラウザ: 拡張機能を無効にする、またはプライベートモードで開く

これでログインできれば、拡張機能が原因です。1つずつ戻して原因を特定してください。広告ブロッカーやプライバシー保護の拡張機能が最も多い原因です。

ステップ2: 別のネットワークで試す スマホのモバイル回線（Wi-Fi をオフ）で開きます。 これで開ければ、原因は自宅のネットワークやルーターです。フィルタやペアレンタルコントロールの設定で nihongo-jikan.com と *.nihongo-jikan.com を許可してください。

ステップ3: セキュリティソフトを確認する ウイルス対策・セキュリティソフトには「HTTPS スキャン」「SSL 検査」「Web 保護」といった機能があることが多いです。 その設定で nihongo-jikan.com（および *.nihongo-jikan.com）を除外してください。単なる許可リストへの追加では足りないことがあります。
